Three years later Covid-19 is still a taboo subject. This is due to the fear, pain, and hatred caused by the pandemic. Political agendas, woefully unprepared medical professionals, government incompetency, and overall human arrogance only served to worsen the situation. Tempers ran high as embarrassed officials began pointing fingers at one another rather than working together to find answers.
Racism reared its ugly head. Spurred on by the blame game, Asian discrimination and hate crimes drastically rose. The world blamed China for the virus. However, China was merely the first country to realize that the latest illness claiming lives was not a deadly influenza variant. By being the first country to take notice of and report the new virus China fell under severe scrutiny.
The chaos, controversy, and struggle for control prohibited rational thinking. Governments restricted online discussion for fear of perpetuating misinformation. In doing so, those of us still capable of looking at the situation objectively were unable to offer insight. After three years, perhaps I can finally share a rational theory about the origin of covid-19. Although it is still a taboo subject.
Taboo Subject
China began reporting the cases of the new illness, not yet identified or named, in late December of 2019. This was approximately 2-3 weeks after a significant stellar event. On December 8th, 2019 the interstellar Borisov comet reached perihelion. It then passed close to Earth in late December around the time the first cases of covid-19 were being reported.
Let me reiterate that this comet was interstellar. It came from outside our solar system. This means that it could have been carrying microbials similar to, but not quite the same as, what we already have on Earth. Scientists now believe that many microbials, including viruses, fall to Earth from space on a regular basis. Scientists also believe many of these microbials can be found in comets. In fact, some have suggested that comets are the original source of life on this planet.
If a virus could withstand interstellar travel preserved inside a comet, Covid-19 could have hitched a ride to Earth on Borisov. The Borisov comet came from the Pleiades star system, which scientist believe may have Earth-like planets capable of sustaining life. It isn’t too far fetched to think that Borisov might be the origin of Covid-19.
The Science
The virus originating from a different solar system might not be the only reason for its potency. Studies have shown that an ordinary microbe from Earth can become more deadly in space. It is possible that Covid-19 was just like any other SARS virus we have here on Earth. If it did originate on another planet maybe it gained potency while traveling through space.
Governments and scientists should have focused on correlations between the onset of the pandemic and astronomical and/or environmental events such as the comet. Instead, they wasted precious time, energy, and resources placing blame and furthering political divides. Tragedy is a test to humanity. During the Covid-19 pandemic we failed. Our humanity was tested, but our arrogance, selfishness, and hatred for one another prevailed.
Perhaps now that the madness has subsided, we can finally discuss this taboo subject rationally. I understand the need to be wary of misinformation, but we should be able to ask questions and offer practical suggestions without censor. My suggestion is that the tiny microbe which brought modern humans to our knees was a cosmic phenomenon. One that seems to occur from time to time in the form of a plague or pandemic as if to keep our arrogance in check and remind us of our place in the natural universe.
