The Roswell crash happened in 1947 only two years after World War Two ended. Countries were still rebuilding, recovering, and reconciling. Some skirmishes were still occurring. Families were still grieving and fearful. Soldiers were still missing. Some soldiers remained unaware that the war was over until they were found and brought home years later. Some soldiers wouldn’t be found and informed the war had ended until decades later.
What if Kamikaze pilots, unaware of Japan’s surrender, continued to attempt dive-bombs on U.S. bases? The Roswell crash was just five miles north of Walker Air Force Base which was active during the second world war. Keep in mind that this was the Air Force Base where experimental technologies were being developed and from where the nuclear bombs were deployed. Considering the damage done to Hiroshima and Nagasaki, it is entirely possible that some Japanese pilots were angry enough to target the base even after the treaty had been signed. Could Japanese pilots have been launching attacks towards U.S. bases?
Kamikaze pilots most often target enemy ships around their islands, but they were involved with attack on Pearl Harbor and as such were capable of getting their planes over greater distances if they thought they had reason to. There are smaller, isolated islands between our west coast and the Hawaii islands where they may have fled or regrouped.
Before The Roswell Crash
Just one month before Roswell there were incidents involving UFOs and “fallen debris” over Maury Island which was also located on the west coast not too far from a U.S. Air Force Base. Could Japanese pilots stranded on isolated islands after the Pearl Harbor attack have conceived a way to get at least a handful of planes over U.S. airspace?
Prior to the reported Maury Island incident there was the infamous Battle for Los Angeles in February 1942. This is most often referred to as a false alarm that occurred due to heightened emotions and panic after the December 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor. There does, however, remain the question of what might’ve been seen in the skies over Los Angeles. Only two days before the Battle of L.A. a Japanese submarine had surfaced off the coast of Santa Barbara and attacked an oil field. This certainly increased concern over potential enemy attacks enough to cause false alarms, but is that all it really was?
Some have suggested the sighting that triggered the Battle of Los Angeles may have been extraterrestrial in nature. Others attribute it to wartime jitters and inexperienced military personal mistakenly reacting to something mundane. Still, some insist that it really was an attack from Japanese aircraft. What if this incident really was triggered by a UFO belonging not to an extraterrestrial source, but to the Japanese?
So Many Questions About The Roswell Crash
Did they possess a superior technology? Has the information concerning such technology been kept secret all this time? Is it possible the U.S. government didn’t want the already panicked populace learning that Japan had a technological advantage and were capable of reaching the west coast? During those tumultuous times the government did take extra care to avoid inciting panic among the American people. Could the reason for continued secrecy after the war be due to an agreement between the two governments to stifle public concerns and share technology?
If the Battle of Los Angeles was an attack by Japanese aircraft, could the Maury Island incident have also been an attempted attack? Was it intercepted and prevented by the U.S. and swept under the rug to prevent public fear and international ramifications? Why did it take six years after the Pearl Harbor attack? Why did they miss their marks? Did they even have the fuel to attempt an attack? Why would the U.S. government conceal attempted enemy attacks on Air Force bases?
Possible Answers
There are many reasons why it might have taken them six years after their attack on Pearl Harbor. Their planes may have been hit or had mechanical issues causing crash landings in the oceans. A pilot shot down into the ocean would have likely been disoriented at the least. They could have been near enough to a small island when they went down or been towed to an island by submarine.
Once stranded, they would have gotten their bearings, tended their wounds, and assessed their situation. Their planes were probably damaged and low on fuel and if they were towed by a submarine, it was likely in too rough of a condition to attempt to make it out of enemy waters. Multiple planes, pilots, and possibly a submarine would have provided parts and people for repairs and it’s not unreasonable that they could have salvaged enough fuel for three or more planes.
As for missing their marks, if those Air Force Bases were their targets, they weren’t off by much and that’s after potentially being stranded, possibly injured, on an isolated island in unfamiliar territory with limited equipment and resources. Or if the attacks didn’t come from a leftover pilot, they could have been unsanctioned attacks from rogue loyalists of General Tojo.
Why the Cover-up?
If the Roswell crash was that of a Kamikaze the U.S. military would have known immediately, especially after the first two attempts a month prior over Maury Island. The military would have been obligated to contain and silence the incidents in order to avoid inciting public panic or straining international cooperation. Japan had surrendered and signed a treaty, the U.S. was establishing bases and relations, and enough residual grief and anger lingered throughout the world to potentially start the war anew if countries attacked one another again.
If the Roswell incident was truly an unfortunate post war circumstance the U.S. Government had every reason and right to cover that up. They may have recovered a small, unrecognizable body and a bizarre disc shaped aircraft. After six years struggling to survive on an island with the likelihood of prolonged dehydration, malnourishment, and exposure combined with injuries that healed wrong only to crash a plane into a desert, anyone’s body would appear alien. Bodies can also appear smaller and misshapen after burning which may contribute to any “alien” appearance.
The planes appearance can be explained by pilots piecing parts together and making alterations to lighten it enough to stretch out the fuel or by Japan simply having unusual and undocumented crafts. Initial personal arriving on scene may not have been properly briefed to know what to expect and may have embarrassingly jumped to conclusions resulting in impulsive comments contradictory to the statements given by senior military personal later.
Possible Blunder
There’s also the possibility that the U.S. military and government wasn’t aware that the aircraft or crafts and body or bodies recovered at Roswell were Japanese until later examination. If at the time of recovery, the appearance of any craft or body couldn’t immediately be identified as human the military may have suspected something other worldly.
In which case, could they have been fully prepared to disclose an alien crash to the people? Was the military initially excited by the prospect of finding an intelligent life form from another planet and therefore jumped the gun when first speaking to the press? If the crash had turned out to be aliens and flying saucers and not Japanese Kamikaze would the government have been more forthcoming?
If the Roswell crash was an attempted Kamikaze attack and the U.S. military did recover the plane and body, the plane may have been kept for further study and the body secretly returned to Japan. Both the U.S. and Japanese governments may still be keeping such an incident secret. In my opinion government secrecy would be excused under these circumstances. This was just one more theory to consider adding to the many already out there concerning the 1947 crash in Roswell, New Mexico.
